Richera “Tootie” Brewster, also known as “Miss Pearl”, passed away suddenly leaving 3 young children and countless friends and family in morn. Richera Alayna Brewster, age 36, of Roslyn Heights, New York, (formerly of Glen Cove, NY), died Tuesday October 27,2015 at the home of her mother after a brief illness.
Richera fondly known as “Tootie” and occasional called “Miss Pearl”, had a beautiful smile along with a creative and entertaining sense of humor. When she was present joy and laughter filled the room. She was one you could count on to speak her mind and tell you a thing or two, or three, or four….and so on. She was a loving and caring daughter, mother and friend, nothing was too good for her children. Loyalty meant a lot to her just call and she was there.
She was born on July 23,1979 in East Meadow, NY, to the parents of Denise (Savage) and Richard Brewster. Richera attended the Glen Cove, NY and Roslyn, NY school system thus graduating with distinction. She later attended the State University of New York at Farmingdale and completed her nursing Education. She worked as a charge nurse for the Bristol Assisted Living Facility until the birth of her youngest son.
She was predeceased by her sister Omeka Savage, grandmother Elizabeth Brewster and Aunt Joanne Brewster. She is survived by her 3 children Richard, Charlise, and Romello. Her parents Denise and Richard Brewster, grandmother Helen Pegram, a loving fiancée Rendell Desheild, and a host of family and friends.
